  1. Re: EUROFERRIES: Ramsgate to Boulogne Or Walter Mitty...
  2. Re: EUROFERRIES: Ramsgate to Boulogne Not sure what the charge is, but do you think there will be a guilty verdict?
  3. Re: Ramsgate to Boulogne I quite agree - which was one of the reasons for posting the topic. I knew the chap who was doing the PR for Euroferries a couple of years ago - he can't answer my questions as he seems to have disappeared. Can't say I blame him - not an enviable job. Though even if I had found him I doubt I would have had an accurate answer from him. I did actually do quite a search for a 98m fast ferry that might be available, using my industry knowledge (more geared to bigger ships) all I could come up with was Normandie Express and her five Incat sisters (including HSV 2) - none of which are up for disposal as far as I know.
  4. Re: Ramsgate to Boulogne The plot thickens. The This-is-Kent article picture is very small, particularly as I am currently using a laptop with a very small screen, so it's hard to see what sort of fast ferry it is, though it doesn't look like a monohull. I can't remember Austal delivering a 98m ferry, so I rather assumed it might be an Incat ship like NEx. The Euroferry Pacifica is 101m. Like Kevin says, I'll believe it when I see it.
  5. Anybody have any more information, or know which ship this is? http://www.thisiskent.co.uk/thanet/Ferry-firm-announces-Ramsgate-route/article-601243-detail/article.html It looks like a sister ship to Normandie Express. Er, it couldn't actually be NEx? Euroferries of course was the name of the outfit that never managed to run a Dover-Calais service using one of the BC Ferries white elephants. Doesn't exactly bode well, does it?
