TonyMWeaver
A new webcam that is believed to have gone live in 2016 but had technical problems, is now back up & running from it's location in West Street, Old Portsmouth. This webcam overlooks the rear of Portsmouth Sailing Club facing Fort Blockhouse in Gosport and the Portsmouth Harbour Entrance. neilcvx
The image quality on webcams make them only worthy for the occasional glance not really much else in my opinion.
TonyMWeaver
Out of most webcam images, this is one of the best I've seen. Saves going out and getting wet.
Lembyscot
Try the HMS Warrior webcam as an alternative, it changes every 10 seconds: http://www.hmswarrior.org/webcam

KeynshamKid
The Portsmouth webcam is fine, the one I am having trouble with is the HMS Warrior one. Have tried 2 different browsers same result with both.
TonyMWeaver
Strange, that's also working this end.

Gareth
Not sure quite where this thread best belongs, but as it is clearly not BF news as such, I've moved it to the Discussions forum.

ac_freeman
This webcam seems to be very unreliable, seems to be down most of the time but great when it is working - this evening, by chance, I could see Queen Mary on Marinetraffic just leaving Southampton for New York.....checked the webcam and it was working. Nice view of Commodore Goodwill leaving Portsmouth, then the small cruise ship Le Soleil, a couple of distant tankers and finally Queen Mary.......the light was beginning to fade by the time Queen Mary passed but was nevertheless a great sight. Tumnus2010
Day off sick today meant I could glance at the webcam and see Normandie inbound, BDS and NEX outbound and Pont Aven in and out. Plus HMS Iron Duke. Great camera, thanks for sharing.
nick hall
Great lightning show over the Solent right now. http://www.camsecure.co.uk/portsmouth_harbour_webcam.html
mykiemike
Here is another live cam located on the Isle Of Wight. It is situated high up on the spire of All Saints Church 150 feet above of Ryde and over looks the Solent towards Portsmouth and Southampton. There is plenty to be seen on a daily basis, with cruise and container ships passing by and ferries and hovercraft making regular crossing between the Island and mainland coasts. http://iwccti.co.uk/wordpress/index.php/ryde-webcam/
