Thanks - courtesy flag. Effectively the reverse of flying the local / national flag when you "go foreign".

The exception, I'm told is when going in to Barcelona. Not Port Vell, the Olimpico, where flying the Spanish, rather than Catalan flag acts as a signal flag meaning:

"'m an ignorant foreigner. Put me at the back of the queue for services and charge me top price for everything!

Anyone know why the Semaphore Tower is flying the Stars & Stripes?

Yes @kenw, there are currently 2 warships of the American Navy in. 'USS Winston S. Churchill' and 'USS Mitscher'. Scheduled to leave on Monday morning (23/10/17).

You can view the daily shipping movements in Portsmouth (for the Naval base and Portsmouth International Port) here: https://www.royalnavy.mod.uk/qhm/portsmouth/shipping-movements

HMS Queen Elizabeth is expected to depart tomorrow afternoon, subject to weather conditions. Normandie's PM sailing has been rescheduled as a result.

Waste of time, HMS Queen Elizabeth did not sail today but was listed for Wednesday at 15:30. However, this entry has disappeared too. Looks like it will be Thursday or Friday now.

Scrap my last, 'Mont St Michel' is expected to dock in Portsmouth International Port on Monday afternoon at around 14:15, delayed due to the departure of 'HMS Queen Elizabeth'
