Biblio
I attended an open day a few years ago at the former Verolme yard in Cork where she was built. They had pictures of the launch of every ship built there. We were given a tour by one of the former draughtsmen. The dry dock and machine shop are still in use repairing smaller vessels. They were machining a tailshaft for a naval patrol vessel at the time. Whilst in uni 20 years ago , one of our lecturers had been a designer at Verolme he did the air conditioning systems !
