HONFLEUR - New Build for Ouistreham Route

Recommended Posts

I think it’s really nice and original I love the way he incorporates sand into it , good art should make people question it, I’m sure there will be plenty more paintings onboard hopefully enough so that there’s one to please everyone.

It hurts my eyes to look at it! What were they thinking? I thought art was meant to be pleasing to the eye?

And even worse, what are they paying ?!!

So plenty of places to hide from his artwork if you don't like it. Ed.

I’m sure there will be and the screaming hordes of French school bairns.

I like them, ok, it's not the great gate of Kiev but they're wholly inoffensive. I nice eggy yellow splashy one ( the technical term, of course!) above a deluxe bed would go down a treat.

It does look beautiful, and just like most modern art it takes more time to like a piece than simple classical art.

BF have done an amazing job in succeeding famous artists as such on their ships. I can't see many other ferry compagnies that go this far.

It might give an idea of the onboard colour scheme.

You've got five and a half hours. That should be enough to decide one way or the other. Just try and avoid doing so if it's rough, I suppose.  Ed.

I wonder if the thread about Honfleur will get to 100 pages before she is even delivered!  Barfleur would pale into insignificance by comparison! 🤣

If she isn't delivered in time for next Season, BF could just sent Armorique up to Pompey and paint over the name ;-)

10 Days since the last Honfleur post.

Does anyone have any news/info/recent pics?! :)

Seen a load of photos the other day but unfortunately they weren’t available for sharing, we might be getting some shots of the Chinese ships before we get photos of the German one.

I trust that the Giverny is a decent sit down restaurant, we don't want any repeats of the Amorique.

It would be helpful if the Loft Lounge could be locked and the doors only open to parents and teachers !

TBF, Armorique didn't have an a la carte because of the route and schedule.

A Caen ship always will do...

It is like a large coloured bar code,a load of rubbish and at a cost.

How much did all those pictures cost? does anyone know?

I don't get that - Amorique could do either a Breakfast or an early Dinner on a crossing, the Caen ships can only do one meal a crossing.

Amorique is also often used for the Caen crossings.

Good to know the up to date information about the artwork.  Maybe those hoping to travel on her can go and visit it in Flensburg! 🤣
