Cap will be calling into Cherbourg tomorrow (and on the 29th) en-route to Portsmouth from Bilbao, in lieu of her usual Monday Roscoff visit.

Normandie or Mont St Michel will have brief stop in Le Havre?

Normandie’s final arrival is on the morning of 24 December, overnight from Portsmouth.  After unloading she will vacate the berth and proceed to either Cherbourg or Le Havre.  Over the years, Cherbourg has tended to be the destination for this purpose, but last year it was Le Havre.  Le Havre seems to have taken over from Cherbourg in recent times as BF’s layover port of choice (and for the Caen ships makes more sense).

The final departures on 24th will be MSM from Portsmouth and Barfleur from Poole, both arriving in France and closing down for Christmas at lunch time on Christmas Eve.

As you said last year MSM went over to Le Havre. From a geographical point of view it makes more sense & the business Le Havre has seen this winter, i would be surprised if Le Havre is not the port of choice this Christmas & New year.

The Normandie will be laying by in Le Havre over both Christmas and New Year. MSM will remain in Ouistreham.

@Gareth @Andy, 'Normandie' is 1st to depart Ouistreham on Tuesday morning, Mont St Michel is moving to Le Havre, arriving at 17:00 with 'Normandie' going back to Ouistreham. It's the same routine on New Years Eve

Ah ok, I see, thanks Tony.  So Normandie is just hovering out at sea then, waiting for MSM to clear the berth.  That makes sense.

That's correct.

I know its not to do with BF but seems that P&O at Dover have had to move 3 of there ships into the channel as 3 of them left Dover at about 6pm tonight Christmas evening.

Maybe weather is the reason?

The New Year shut-down starts today, prematurely for two vessels due to weather-related cancellations.

So, Armorique has now finished for the year after getting into Roscoff this morning.  And BDS makes her way across to Le Havre later this morning, whereupon she will close down for the New Year after her teatime arrival.

Barfleur is finishing a day early, tomorrow lunchtime, as the Cherbourg - Poole sailing on 30th and Poole - Cherbourg sailing on 31st are cancelled due to bad weather.

CF’s departure this evening to Santander looks like it is going ahead, so CF will shut down for New Year when she gets to Spain tomorrow evening.

PA and the Caen ships keep going until New Year’s Eve.

With the arrival of MSM at Le Havre, the BF fleet has now shut down for New Year.

Half the fleet is at Le Havre.  The rest scattered around Ouistreham, Cherbourg, St Malo, Roscoff and Santander.

After the 2 January restart, we have a week of sailings before MSM heads off for refit at Gdańsk.
