Brittany Ferries Spanish Route

Hi,

Does my memory serve me right. In that Brittany Ferries only used to run the Spanish ferry routes up until around March-October back when POB was around?.

Any info welcome, please?

Yes that is correct. If I recall correctly there were a number of years where they trialed a limited winter service to Santander (using both the Bretagne and Barfleur). Once the Pont-Aven arrived and P&O thew in the towel it became a year round service from Portsmouth.

Prior to 2008 our BF trips to Santander departed from Plymouth only and after 2008 Portsmouth was added to the Santander route which was better for us as it was a shorter drive from the north of England.

I remember sailing on Bretagne from Portsmouth during February 1994. She stayed overnight on the berth at Santander and we were given boarding passes to come and go as we pleased.
