We haven’t heard anything and in fact have this weekend as a precaution booked overnight accommodation in France just in case.

Do you know where this information came from on Facebook?

The facebook page is Brittany ferries enthusiasts, ships and crews.

Look under the post about Pont Aven in  Brest.

Meanwhile Connemara will be arriving in Roscoff at midnight after a daytime 14 hour crossing , what an unholy hour to arrive with who knows how many hours driving to go .

Unless of course you are staying in Roscoff, in which case it's quite handy;-) Straight to bed then up fresh the next day with no travelling!

And to what proportion of Cork-Roscoff custom do you think that applies hf?

It’s a weird looking screen grab on an unofficial site , I would have expected a link to Brittany Ferries themselves.

Well, honestly not sure Gareth, not a huge number, but some! Conemmara doesn't carry many - and regardless, Roscoff as a destination itself has definately been growing in recent years... specially that Western bay side, near the 'Triton' complex etc. And there is of course the Wine Beer warehouse.... some could spend the whole week there from stories I've been told :)

In that case you would be as well to stay at home in Ireland and visit Connemara itself , the landscape is pretty much the same and some of the locals speak a language other than English .

Armorique loitering towards Roscoff according to MarineTraffic.  Waiting for Cap Finistere to vacate Roscoff berth.

It is common for Plymouth sailings to stop so that the ship keeps to schedule. I've known Armorique to sail east along the coast for some distance before heading at an angle for Roscoff to give a more comfortable trip.

It looks as if the Roscoff Plymouth sailing was the one where they stopped and she is now late arriving Roscoff this morning, after the Cap.  Does anyone know what time she left Plymouth last night?

Armorique arrived at Roscoff on time at 0800 this morning, unloaded and moved out to let Cap Fin go in, now going back to re berth at Bloscon as usual. All seems normal at that side.

They maybe want to reassure passengers onboard a bit better then , they definitely don’t need any more grief on social media.

Before the days of twitter, internet forums and route trackers this sort of thing happened all the time.

Seems to be all fair points to me.  This fiasco could turn out to be a defining moment for BF.  As a general rule of thumb, it is not wise to disrupt passengers who do not need to be disrupted in order to attempt to provide for other passengers who are already disrupted.  You just double the number of disaffected customers.

Is there any more news on the PA on 3rd is it still a goer or not?

If not will have to book Roscoff for this week end of, and it’s bank holiday week and if the PA is cancelled again there may be a rush!

The money spent on the rebranding has probably been wasted now following this issue! The amount of annoyed customers on the internet will have a bigger effect than a new logo
