Looks like a bulldozer job is planned on her whoever she ends up operating for; sadly the plans suggest they will plate over her atrium and grand staircase which is the stand-out on board feature. Also no sign of them looking to increase the vehicle deck headroom.

So, is this a specific ship or is it a generic advert for e-flexer orders?

This is the Yamato, which Stena RoRo have bought for the charter market from Hankyu Ferry, delivery for conversion when she is replaced by one of the latest Hankyu pair, I think early next year.

She was built by Mitsubishi in 2003 and is now available for charter, I guess, with the customer able to specify the changes they want. Ed.

Stena Nova reported to be chartered by Corsica Ferries for 2021 with conversion, which will be a huge one, planned in Greece. Unfortunately they appear to be planning on effectively bulldozing the ship's existing accomodation with the centrepiece atrium and central staircase being removed.

If confirmed this makes me a bit nervous for the future of the vintage sisters Corsica Victoria (ex-BF) and Sardinia Regina which are the most obviously at risk ships in the fleet - in previous years new ships have mostly just expanded operations but it's hard to imagine that's the case right now and she could easily replace one or even both of them.

Yes, she's gone to the Philippines.

It’s been dumped in the Philippines since last summer.

it’s going to need one hell of work if it’s been in cold lay up

I never quite understood why Stena bought her in the first place.
