Someone said they will build the engine up from the inside, without any need for a big whole (nanobots, one presumes, Kryten)...

... Does anyone know more about this? I know she has a large hatch and lift in the stern for parts, but not large enough for engine blocks I would imagine?

A video of this repair would be very good and give a clear picture of how they did it.

Oh blast it, and I stood in the freezing cold just to get these this morning! She’s looking so much better though, amazing the difference a week makes with pot of paint and a brush, there’s a subtle new blue stripe down the back of the funnels.

And totally off topic but I was treated to a stunning split sky coming out of Pompey on Monday afternoon...

That’s some cloud formation in the first photos @Fine Whine

Good illustration of the front.  (Probably the cold front receding to the east, looking at the suddenness of it, but Chris will know).

Spot on Gareth. I caught something similar in Roscoff a few years ago but early in the morning, hence the stunning colours...

I received this photo this morning of 'Pont-Aven' in Gdansk. It looks like workers have started cutting a hole in the side of the ship.

That’s the stern door Tony.  It’s used to load and unload cars! 😉

Now that’s what I call a hole! 🤣

Surprised they need to do this, rather than just using the existing doors.  But maybe it will become a lot bigger by the time they’ve finished.

(Finished making the hole, that is, not finished the engine repairs!)

While they are rummaging around in there perhaps they could look for the trolley-token that fell out of my car on PA a couple of years ago and disappeared down a drainage hole on the car deck. Ed.
