BF Refit Season 2019-20

She’s been there before Gareth - this is from June last year while having her bow thruster sorted out. I knew this photo would come in useful one day...🤣

We need a “sulking” icon! 😖

(I did tell Tony I’d take his word for it!) 🤣

In your defence, she's the other way around this time

'Normandie' seen in Cherbourg today, photo thanks to Dave Appleby.

'Normandie' returns to service on Monday afternoon, 16:30 from Cherbourg to Portsmouth.
'Armorique' is scheduled to depart Portsmouth at 09:00 on Monday morning, presumably bound for Plymouth, unless she carries cargo to Roscoff for the cancelled 'Cap Finistere' sailing.

I've just checked Vessel Finder and see that the Pont is on the move with tugs Vega, Atlas and Taurus assisting.

Good spot.  Being moved back into the floating dock (as per the plan).

Thanks. It's been very quiet up there lately. Let us know where she is moved to. Ed.

'Etretat' is currently scheduled to depart Le Havre on Tuesday evening at 19:00 (local time), bound for Santander where she will spend 4 weeks undergoing her refit. 'Etretat' is expected return to service on March 13th with her existing livery.

Correct.  As has mostly already been reported in this thread.

Yes, however if this forum was to ban hesitation, repetition or deviation it would be a bit boring !

I'm still waiting to find out if she's actually going into dry dock, 'Connemara' didn't, she didn't even get painted either.

The pipes at the top of her funnel look longer and more pronounced, because when she was first painted they were white!

This may be a tad pedantic but if you compare the image Tony posted compared to the above - there seem to be more white lines / metal bands around the funnel previously.
If you look now - there is only about 1 compared to 4 before, and the top of the blue of the new logo is almost touching the edge of the metalwork - maybe making the pipes look bigger also.
What do you reckon Jonno .... any reason why they may have lopped a few of those cage/bars off the top of the scrubber skeleton?

You'll find, the pipes were not painted at all. They were and still are the original colour, they just look aged.

This image was taken on her 1st lunchtime arrival in Portsmouth after the scrubbers were fitted.

I think this is the point where @hf_uk pipes down ;)

Is a man not allowed to do a spot of spotting for heavens sake!?  😉

In fact - my point still stands...

Why did the distance between the edge and the top of the blue shrink?

There are still 8 bars around the cage, they've lifted the Logo a bit for some reason.

Are you comparing against a photo-shopped image of Normandie @hf_uk ?

Here's a pic taken on 19th December, which looks the same as she does now?

Yep, so the answer is... the BF stock image from their site was photoshopped, so the logo was never that far from the top of the cage.

I am glad when a solution is found. Cheers Andy:)

Normandie appears to have developed a technical problem and will be in Cherbourg next weekend.
