TonyMWeaver Report post Posted July 30 (edited) Corsica Lines orders it's first new ferry powered by LNG: The Corsican company announced on Tuesday, July 30, having ordered its first ferry with a propulsion operating on liquefied natural gas. It will be produced by the Italian shipyard Visentini, located in Porto Viro, near Venice. Since 2002, they have delivered a very long series of 26 Ro-Pax of about 186 meters adopting a common design basis, which allows it to offer extremely competitive costs. They are found at Balearia, Grimaldi, Stena, Brittany Ferries (Etretat) and Louis Dreyfus Armateurs for Airbus (Spirit of Montoir and Mobile Express). The last two units produced by the Italian yard, the Alejandria Hypatia and the Marie Curie, are a new version of this series adopting an LNG propulsion. https://www.meretmarine.com/fr/content/corsica-linea-commande-un-ferry-gnl-au-chantier-italien-visentini?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook&fbclid=IwAR1rDeR4dqN7G8cNkMmwdxF9IWuJLazCf-NIfJxrhZPAdWshF0AMnvfpFQs Edited July 30 by TonyMWeaver
