Commodore cabin breakfast

Recommended Posts

We have got a Commodore cabin booked for Thursday 5th September. I know we are offered a basic breakfast in the cabin but could we still go down to the restaurant for a more substantial breakfast on the Commodore ticket?

Many thanks

Ken.

I to am in commodore on that very evening.  8401 on the Pont for me that night..

The bride likes the idea of breakfast in the cabin, so we will go for it that way son this occasion,

Hi again. Sorry it has taken a few days to reply.

We are Club Voyage members.

We have often travelled on the Pont Aven with a Commodore cabin

We find the in-cabin breakfast to be somewhat unsatisfactory (tepid coffee) and would prefer the buffet breakfast offered in the main restaurant.

Can we forego the in-cabin breakfast in favour of a breakfast in the restaurant.

Many thanks

Ken.

Sorry to be a bit dense. Does this mean that if you book a commodore cabin, you are entitled to a breakfast as part of the deal and that you can basically have it either in the cabin (croissant and coffee etc) OR say no to that and go to the restaurant and show you ticket and have a buffet breakfast (free) ??? if so, do you have to book - assuming it is in the same restaurant as dinner is served?

You get the continental breakfast free which you can have either in the cabin or in the restaurant to get the fry up in the restaurant it’s a couple of pounds more , the benefit of the restaurant continental breakfast is it’s all you can eat and a much wider choice the in cabin breakfast is a bit limited.EFD780B1-8C4C-4AA9-A2BE-BB5077CA4BCB.thumb.jpeg.018e1f60aec5a220cd4f9da675a01ae1.jpeg

Past few times BF haven't charged us when using the restaurant for the full breakfast so the few quid I've had ready to hand over ends up in the tip glass by the till.

That is correct.  There’s no need to book, you just have to make sure you decline the cabin breakfast when they ask you about it the previous evening.

If anybody looking at Neil's photo is feeling nostalgic for the triangular bread rolls they are visible in this video at around 42 seconds.

In the premium cabins you now get a refresh face towel in a small pouch which is obviously to wipe the nostalgic tears away.
