Connemara maiden arrival in Poole

They mean by Length although Etretat is the same and she visited Poole before Connemara did.

Correct.

A total non-story really, as in she is the same longest length of multiple ships (including herself) that have already visited the port.  Armorique was almost certainly the heaviest GRT.  But little details like that never got in the way of the tabloid press making a story out of nothing.

This is Poole Harbour Commissioners website, so not exactly tabloid press.  You would think PHC would have been a little more accurate.

This is a shocker for a vessel that has just come back from refit.

She never received any exterior work with regard to painting while at Astander.

That's pretty obvious!  Why don't they just paint ferries orange and be done with it?  It's a pretty good colour when it comes to visibility in the fog too. The SNCF only uses orange hi-vis jackets (rather thank yellow) for just that reason. Ed.

Indeed.  Which explains the livery etc.

Welcome back, by the way.

It is , I can’t imagine in the great scheme of things a lick of paint is too costly to do.
