Postponing a booking online

I have attempted to postpone my booking online from a date in July to one in October.

Why is a further deposit required, as I've already paid a deposit of over £300? far greater than the deposit required in relation to the potentially amended booking.

In line with new fare rules, deposit values have changed. Therefore you might find that to rebook your deposit value has actually increased. For standard tickets the deposit is now 50% of the total fare are opposed to the old method of a fixed cost. Either that or perhaps you've changed from Flexi to Standard and increased the amount due?

It's not possible to change from Standard to Flexi etc. I believe the website shows the amounts as if it's a new booking. Which is... helpful. So you will see the new potentially higher amount. But if you're amending it, it will use the amount previously paid and if the balance hasn't been collected, the new amount will now be taken on the relevant day. If in doubt post a screenshot of what you're seeing.
