Glad to say it's not BF but a Minoan Lines ship (Crete to Piraeus).

Yes, he was sticking a camera in their face, but there was not even a hint of friendliness from any of the crew.

Minoan Lines seemed to have got the hardware component right but not the "peopleware..." part.

There's so much wrong with what he's saying factually (rubbish about non-local crews, "carbon emissions" coming from her scrubber installed funnel) that it's hard to give credibility to his complaints about the crew, which aren't backed up by the video IMO. I'm not sure what he's looking for tbh. Sure they could have been more chatty but they were hardly rude.

It would however be all too believable because Minoan have fallen off significantly in lots of areas since being taken over by Grimaldi - but that has mostly affected the Adriatic ships where the Greek officers were replaced with Italians left to work uneasily alongside the Greek hotel staff. But this video doesn't tell much other than that this guy seems to want attention that people busy doing their jobs and who don't speak a lot of English are willing or able to give.

That sounds pretty draconian, even if it's just their Adriatic ships.

It's a joke isn't it... He's on about carbon emissions but if you take a look at his channel he flies all over the place.. Of course, plane are carbon neutral in his mind probably.

Some (strong emphasis on 'some') travel/transport type vloggers do seem to expect the crew to be super-friendly and super-delighted to be filmed.

Of course, in reality people being filmed may be naturally shy, in the last hour of their day after a run of pretty crummy early shifts, and just want to get the job over and done with minimal fuss. This doesn't make them not competent to carry out their role or even unsuitable for public facing duties - it is just the reality of them at that specific moment.

Then on the camera they come across as rude/unwelcoming, but anyone with a bit of common sense and empathy will understand exactly how they feel and why they are how they are being portrayed.
