In the Ferry Nostalgia thread in the post about the St Patrick you can see the Russian liner Mikhail Lermontov. In February 1986 she sank in the Marlborough Sounds off the north coast of New Zealands south island. We were in Picton (which was the ships last port of call) in January and one of her lifeboats is on display outside a local shopping mall.

Marco Polo is a regular visitor to Cork and I love photographing her. Hopefully she manages to survive the current crisis and will sail again, Couple of pics of her arriving and departing on 27th August 2015
