Good question, P & O seem to be retreating rather than expanding at the moment. Although the present `Klondike` rush from Ireland`s ports might change what passes for strategy

Here's an idea. 

If P&O don't fancy the prospect of going back to Le Havre why don't they offer something different. A stopping service. Use the two Hull-based ships and provide a 'northern route'. 

Rotterdam-Hull-Rosyth-(over the top of Scotland)-Larne-Cairnryan

That way the Scots can also get their products to the EU more directly.
