Cotentin’s stern door isn’t offset, it is quite stern width.

Wasn't that done for Roscoff?  The outside of the Pont's ramp is tight on the linkspan, obviously her extra width pushes it further across.

To add to my above post, I have just been perusing an old camera card and found this photo regarding Cotentin’s stern door.   Knew I had one somewhere only just unearthed it..🙂

P & O's Pride of Rotterdam/Hull are similarly offset, presumably to allow them to better access linkspans in one or both ports. Does the width of Cotentin's potentially limit it's ability to visit different ports?

Where the linkspan is narrower, like the old one at Santander, she is bow in.
