"Those staying aboard the MS Silja Europa can look forward to visiting its several restaurants, a spa, beauty salon, discos and nightclubs"

Yes, I'm sure the extra police that have been hired will be looking forward to using those facilities...¬†ūüôĄ

I see the Daily Fail has also upgraded it to a luxury cruise ship!

To be fair to the Daily Mail they have more or less just copied the information from Sky News.

For those who have the opportunity I'd recommend heading Into Falmouth to see her in the flesh so to speak. Cruise ships have been built from her blueprints so too were Silja Symphony & Serenade. Color Magic and Fantasy are an evolution of her. Until you can get close, photo's and online images don't do her justice in terms of scale and classic lines.

A beautiful ferry, very comfortable to sail aboard and very well behaved in stormy weather. One of my favourites.

If she sailed from Portsmouth I'd use every trick in the book to make sure I had a ticket for her everytime we journeyed abroad.

Keep your poor relation Pont Avens, Silja Europa is the real deal.

Yep sailed on Eurpoa in 1996 and was won over by this ship. Very futuristic design too, especially back then.

Just checked, that's Argus behind and she is bit larger than Cotentin; so now you can form an impression of the size of her! Pride of Burgundy looks a bit miniscule, but she is moored stern towards and the view obscures her superstructure.
