pièce d’identité

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I was reading the conditions of entry for Futuroscope from 21.7.21 and they state:

Suite aux annonces du Président de la République, à compter du 21 juillet un pass sanitaire ou la preuve d’un test négatif de moins de 48h (PCR ou antigénique) ainsi qu’une pièce d’identité seront exigés pour accéder au parc à partir de 18 ans*.

What counts as a piece of identity?

Would a British Driving License count as one? A library card with a photo?

Many thanks

When ID cards came in at work (maybe the '70's)  the less responsible  of us had great delight in knifing down one edge of the ID pass and inserting any old photo. Your pet dog was popular and so was Danny le rue in drag!

Happy daze

A driving licence is not legally recognised as proof of identity in France, though accepted if you are picking up a parcel or similar. For UK citizens the passport is the only legal proof. A Titre de Séjour / Carte de Résidence MIGHT be accepted in some circumstances. I suspect it would probably at Futuroscope.

The same piece of identity used to get the vaccine cert. I used our passport numbers so that will be the piece.

Go back 25 years, my daughter was a student nurse at a certain London Hospital, this was a regular "game" they played with their ID cards. I think she may have had Spike Milligan's picture and once they put a copy of the Mona Lisa inside the card.    As you say happy days (politically incorrect now ☹️)

the Mona Lisa

Probably bigger than the real thing! Either it's the most pointlessly small painting ever done or I was just too far away behind a hoard of Asian tourists.

I can confirm that a British driving license and even a credit card have been accepted as proof of our identity in conjunction with our NHS vaccination record uploaded onto the French Anticovid app. Hope this helps.
