Just torn or pulled a muscle on the bottom of my foot misjudging a stair in Smiths. I had a slight fall but just laughed it off - this morning it is really bloomin hurting. Can walk ok but flippin hurts, always something with my foot!

Edit - going to put it on here so I'll do it. Going to book Barf today, want to do the 10th or 13th this month.

I was on the same crossing! Stupidly busy with an hours delay on departure and arrival. I have never seen a crossing with all car decks on decks 2,3 and 4 so crammed. Thought the staff were brilliant though. I received no less than 4 texts warning me that it was a full crossing, apologies for the delays on loading and unloading and for the late arrival. Commodore cabin and lounge were well worth the money for some peace and quiet!

I concur 100%. Staff were excellent throughout sailing, though there was something about the last announcement "this delay is outside Brittany ferries' control" which caused much hilarity on the rear decks arriving into Plymouth.

Were you in a commodore? I was in a de luxe and also spent most of the time in the commodore lounge (I liked the coffee machine ;) !!

Watched the Liberation come in as was in Poole for an appointment - had some time to kill and she was on her in so had a stroll along the shore near the quay. Not sure if I was seeing things but she is beginning to look a bit grubby round her bow? Nor sure exactly - but from where I was looked discoloured around the bow. If so she needs a wash!!

Went to the Scottish portrait gallery on the new Borders railway and saw a statue of a truly great man on a kitchen table as he was a man of the people maybe the My ferry link workers could learn something from him "We are not going to strike. We are not even having a sit-in strike. Nobody and nothing will come in and nothing will go out without our permission. And there will be no hooliganism, there will be no vandalism, there will be no bevvying because the world is watching us, and it is our responsibility to conduct ourselves with responsibility, and with dignity, and with maturity."

Booked up the Waverley for Sunday - that now means Liberation on Monday and then Barfleur on Friday..... Three ships in one week... Booked the Liberation forgetting the dates and that I had Barf a few days later, then the weather has messed up my attempts to get on the paddler so having to do Sunday to Swanage. Could have actually gone today but the Sunday is better for the amount of time spent in Swanage, more hours. Going to be really tired Monday night.

Just incase anyone is interested my cousin works at Rosyth and I was speaking to him about the aircraft carriers being built there he was saying the will get floated at high tide then wait until low tide to pass under the bridges then have her highest points assembled and hopefully pass all her sea trials and not need to go back into dock.

We finally completed our move to Harrogate. It's the first time in my life I've not lived on the coast, what a strange thing! A new direction for me, no more refineries or gas terminals. no more Fishguard or Pemb's Dock.

Just been to the hospital in the rain to pick up my new heel lift, after years of foot pain, these work. Have one leg nearly an inch shorter than the other and has taken doctors until my 50s to work it out. Been wearing a home-made lift for past year due to specialists saying I didn't need a lift. After much persuasion they agreed I do so I have just picked it up, and very comfortable it is too. Unbelievable how much having unequal leg length does to the body, responsible for a lot of difficulties which the list is quite long!!
